
Springtime 2025 at ForgetTheGym - Here's whats on
Mar 29, 2025The clocks have changed and as we say goodbye to the daffodils we are TOTALLY ready for the warmer air, brighter evenings and plenty action and adventure. Here are our plans for the next few months at ForgetTheGym :
1. Online Coaching
I'm been spending more time at the desk through the winter this year as we prepare to launch a whole new series of online coaching so you can be with us, even if you live far away. Here are our Spring Online Running Courses. Choose your online course :
- From 5k to Mini Marathon : This is the big one for Spring 2025 as we encourage you to make the step up from parkrun to 10k. Starts 6th April and so much more than a training plan. This will literally carry you for the 8 weeks from 5k to 10k with a lot of fun, achievements and adventures along the way. Read More and 50% Discount this weekend only!
- Get Back Running in 4 Weeks : Thrilled to say that we currently have 15 enthusiastic women from all over the world trialing out this course and a loving it. Once they complete it we will incorporate their feedback and it will go live for all the rest of you in May. But, its going to be popular. Make sure your name is on the waiting list for Get Back Running.
- 18 Weeks to Dublin Marathon : Many of you have a ticket for this big race but as of yet are keeping your runs short. And thats the right thing to do. From mid June we will kick off this programme into it 15th year of guiding you from 10k to a smiling marathon day finish line! Find out more about Marathon Coaching.

2. Running Classes in Dublin
We start our Brand New Term of Classes in Dublin in May - with a brand new location added - DONABATE (for May and June only). See May/June Timetable and Booking. This is one term of the year where we can bring along a yoga mat to class too and its bright and warm enough to lie out on a schoolnight and soak up the great sunsets (while maybe doing a few exericses too). In July then we will leave the seaside and head to the mountains for 3 weeks of trails runs with Aoife in July. See Mountain Run Dates and Times.

3. Running Retreats
Its that time of year where we pack our bags and head off to our south of France St Jean Retreat in Early May and then it wont be long til we head down the west to the stunning and remote Bere Island in West Cork for our glamping running retreats. We still have a few spots for one of our Bere Island Retreats in July. Long waiting list for August!

Membership and Community
At the end of April we will celebrate 2 years of our members community and wow - how much has happened in there since we made the big step to move away from social media and set up our own membership hub. We are so proud of all our members and all they have achieved and supported each other. Find out more about membership here. Other Spring Plans and adventures...
- Races and parkruns : There is always something going on to give us a goal and a purpose to get out the door. From 5k to Marathon and everything in between, we do anything for the joy of a post run picnic!
- Social Media : The only downside to all this good stuff we have going on is that our social media is being neglected - but we are enjoying that freedom too - so just make sure you are on the email mailing list for any updates as that is where we will share all news.
Wherever you go this spring, be sure to get plenty fresh air (here's why) and remember that even just one run a week can make a difference (i've written about that here too).
