Top 10 Highlights from Summer 2026
What a sunny summer we had in Ireland. We couldn't have predicted back in May the glorious weather that would keep us energised and moving all summer long - maybe sweating a bit more than usual, but still amazing.
At ForgetTheGym we focus on 'summer' throughout July and August, when people are away on hols, routine changes and things all have that slight 'between Christmas and New Year' feel of not really knowing what day it is!
July is the month when our routine changes, but we still keep moving and motivated. This year the heat was the big factor and we adapted to the weather. We had mountain adventures, ice cream runs, virtual meetups, blue skies, even a few rainy days and lots of work behind the scenes on our online courses.
Here are some of our highlights of July:

And then it was August...
August started out in a similar way - gorgeous weather and by now we were well and truly addicted to it. August is the month when everyone’s routine is a little scattered and its full summer mode. We accept we cant do it all and work out whats important for the last of the summer and let the rest go!
We focused on our members offering them classes, podcasts, online courses and inspiration they could call on from whatever location they found themselves in. We also had our amazing retreat to Bere Island in West Cork, 4 nights of wonderful food, fun and fresh air!
Here are some of our highlights of August.
Thanks to all who joined us both virtually and in-person this month.

What an awesome two months of summer we had. 2026, you'll be hard to beat!
Let's look ahead now and get a little structure and routine back in our days. It’s time now to move to autumn mode - September we are ready for you! Here are all our autumn plans at ForgetTheGym.
